Dear Botanica Home Owners and Residents,

Thank you for your continued support of Florida’s efforts to reduce the spread of COVID-19.  Below are Botanica Lakes community re-opening phase 1B guidelines.  This plan respects and follows federal, state and local prohibitions and social distancing requirements.  The community needs everyone following the rules to be successful.:

The management company, and Botanica Lakes Homeowners Association will not be responsible for those who contract the COVID-19, or any other disease by utilizing such facilities or any other common area of the community. All common areas of the community are to be used at your own risk, and it is recommended that you follow all CDC guidelines to protect yourselves and others. The Association does not have the staffing resources, and thus will not be able, to police the recommended social distancing practices or to sanitize common areas throughout the community or amenity campus after each use, and therefore cannot guaranteethat you will not be exposed to Coronavirus or any other virus or bacteria throughout the common and pool areas.Anyone who has recently returned to the area from the Tri State Area is prohibited from using the pools and pool area for 14 days. Additionally, anyone who is or has been ordered to self-quarantine is restricted from accessing the pool area and pools until their quarantine has ended. Each person, homeowner, tenant, and family member is responsible for their own well-being and to protect those around them by practicing good personal hygiene, proper social distancing, wearing the appropriate PPE and not to use such facilities if they have any symptoms of the virus or are in any way immune compromised or at a heightened risk of complications from the Coronavirus or any other disease.  

Starting Wednesday, May 27, 2020

GYM open daily from 7 am to 8 pm starting 5/27/20

  • Maximum capacity ten (10) total occupants.
  • Maintain social distancing.
  • Children/teen between 12-17 years old, are not permitted without adult supervision.
  • Everyone using the gym is responsible for disinfecting their own equipment.
  • Practice proper handwashing techniques, especially after touching frequently used surfaces.
  • High risk and vulnerable individuals should continue to stay at home.

Tot Lot, Tennis Courts, Pickle ball, and Basketball Courts

Maximum capacity eight (8) total occupants.

  • Maintain social distancing practices.
  • Practice proper handwashing techniques, especially after touching frequently used surfaces.
  • High risk and vulnerable individuals should continue to stay at home

 Main Pool and Splash Pad

Operating hours are 7 am to 8 pm daily, starting May 27, 2020.

  • Spa/Hot Tub will remain closed, no exceptions.
  • The pools are reserved for BL residents and owners only. (no visitors at this time)
  • NO Food or Beverages (water only) inside the gated areas.
  • Children/teen under 18 not permitted without adult supervision.
  • No parties. Follow all posted rules, unless stated in the phase 1b outline.
  • Entry/Exit to/from the pool area via the designated three (3) gates, you must scan your amenity card to enter. Gate is not to be left open after entering the pool area.
  • Everyone using the pool furniture is responsible for disinfecting their own seating. 
  • Seating must respect social distancing norms of 6’ apart from individuals other than residents of the same household.
  • While in pool, respect social distancing norms of 6’ apart from individuals other than residents of the same household.
  • Restrooms/locker rooms will be open during pool hours.
  • High risk and vulnerable individuals should continue to stay at home.
  • Practice proper handwashing techniques, especially after touching frequently used surfaces.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors by doing your part and following these guidelines.  Failure to adhere to the guidelines will result in the closing of all amenities.

  • Yoga Room
  • Clubhouse/CH inside restrooms (Waiting list for possible events in July, less than 50 people)
  • Activities Room
  • Hot tub/Spa

***Palm Tree replacement and removal letters go out starting June 19, 2019.  A fungus lives in the soil and it is the homeowners responsibility to remove the dead, and replace it with another species of palm tree.  Some suggestions are foxtails, all replacements need to be over 4ft tall and can be completed by the homeowner or a vendor.  Each year the HOA identifies properties needing to rectify the Palm death.   PalmtreeFusarium_Wilt

Replace dead plantings: Like for like do not need an ARB/ACC however homeowners should always read our documents and rules and regulations. Any additions need ARB/ACC approval.

SUGGESTED REPLACEMENT PLANTINGS FOR FRONT-SIDE YARD BEDS

Yard Suggestions: adding donuts for around all sprinkler heads, placing a small line of bricks around the base of the home to prevent stucco damage during weed whacking. Use 2 parts bleach to a gallon of water to spray on your walk ways and drives to prevent mold.

Thank you for registering your vehicles. The RF device requires the following:

  1. You MUST reduce your speed upon entering the gatehouse to 5 mph; hug the left side of the drive.
  2. Allow gate arms to close in between each vehicle.

  4. Discontinue using your remotes for gate entry.
  5. Your white access cards will also allow entry.
